PARTICIPATION ELIGIBILITY & INSTITUTIONAL CONDUCT REQUIREMENTS
1. Purpose and Scope
This document sets out the eligibility criteria and conduct requirements applicable to organizations and individuals participating in the World Economic Chamber's forums, initiatives and cooperative programs, as distinct from the broader Membership Overview & Eligibility standards governing Chamber membership itself.
2. Rationale
Participation in a specific Chamber forum or initiative may extend to counterparts, government representatives or non-member organizations whose involvement serves a defined purpose. These requirements ensure that such participation is subject to appropriate standards, irrespective of membership status.
3. Eligibility Considerations
Eligibility to participate in a given forum or initiative is assessed with regard to the relevance of the participant's activity to the subject concerned, the participant's institutional standing, and the absence of any conflict that would compromise the integrity of the engagement.
4. Conduct Requirements
Participants are expected to conduct themselves consistent with the standards set out in the Chamber's Code of Conduct, including honesty in representation, respect for confidentiality where applicable, and avoidance of conduct that could compromise the Chamber's neutrality or the integrity of the forum or initiative concerned.
5. Non-Member Participation
Where participation is extended to a non-member organization, the terms of that participation, including its scope and duration, are documented and communicated clearly, consistent with the Chamber's broader governance standards.
6. Breach and Consequences
Failure to meet eligibility or conduct requirements may result in exclusion from a forum or initiative, addressed through the Chamber's established accountability procedures, with findings documented consistent with the Record-Keeping & Documentation Standards.
7. Alignment with Governance Framework
These requirements ensure that participation in the Chamber's forums and initiatives, whatever its source, is held to a standard consistent with the institution's broader commitment to integrity and disciplined engagement.
