STAKEHOLDER COORDINATION & ENGAGEMENT STANDARDS
1. Purpose and Scope
The Stakeholder Coordination & Engagement Standards define how the Chamber identifies, coordinates with and manages relationships with the range of stakeholders — members, public institutions, partner organisations and regulators — involved in its programs and initiatives.
2. Stakeholder Identification
Programs must identify relevant stakeholders at the design stage, distinguishing between participating members, institutions affected by an initiative without direct participation, and public bodies whose regulatory interest requires engagement under separate protocols.
3. Coordination Standards
Stakeholder engagement must be conducted through defined channels, with communication consistent, proportionate and aligned with each stakeholder's role in a given initiative. Members participating directly are entitled to a fuller degree of engagement than stakeholders consulted incidentally.
4. Managing Divergent Interests
Where stakeholders hold divergent or competing interests, coordination must preserve the Chamber's neutrality, ensuring no single stakeholder's preferences determine a program's direction inconsistent with its approved design.
5. Institutional Significance
Consistent stakeholder coordination protects program integrity and reinforces the Chamber's credibility as an institution capable of managing complex, multi-party international initiatives responsibly.
